Catie Brown is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a Juilliard trained professional musician, which is what brought her to Tampa in 1988 as Principal Flutist of The Florida Orchestra, a position she held for 12 years before becoming the mother of two beautiful daughters.

 

She has recorded and traveled the country and Europe with Artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Sir George Solti, Andrea Bocelli, Leonard Bernstein, Yo-Yo Ma, and Joshua Bell among others. In 1991 she recorded the National Anthem with Whitney Houston, and The Florida Orchestra, a recording that very quickly went Platinum and was played on the field during Super Bowl XXV. She can also be heard on The Florida Orchestra’s recording “Symphonic Dances” and Wynton Marsalis’ recording “Carnival”. 

 

Catie is the proud mother of two daughters; Hannah, who is a NICU nurse at John Hopkin's All Children's Hospital in St Petersburg; and Sarah, who is a competing member of the United States Dressage Federation. Catie has a wide knowledge of Equestrian properties.
