Growing up in Norfolk, Virginia, it was Jessica Edwards dream to live in a house with a dog in the backyard. She began to pursue the American dream homeownership, by working hard, saving my money, and keeping her credit score at a good standing. In pursuit of that dream, she did not understand my debt-to-income ratio and how student loans would factor into the equation. In turn, as she applied for housing loans, the rejections kept coming. Jessica felt defeated because here she was with a master's degree, and that very same degree could essentially cost her dream. A dream deferred but not lost. Jessica was consistent and persistent. She eventually made the right connections, and soon after, there it was her first "YES". She was able to obtain a loan with her student loans not being a huge factor in approval. It was like a dream come true. That sense of achievement, including financial freedom, was one of the many reasons that led to Jessica Edwards to become a Realtor.
